A Big Loss for Worker Justice

Pastor Wayne Riggs, may he rest in peace.

Pastor Wayne Riggs, a long-time, highly respected, and beloved member of the governing board of the Interfaith Center for Worker Justice, passed away early Saturday morning, December 16, after a sudden and fierce battle with cancer.  Pastor Riggs is also remembered for his long career serving as a chaplain in the Navy.  Reflecting on his own chaplaincy service, Pastor Riggs often told stories that occurred during his long association with Cardinal John O’Connor, when the Cardinal was a rear admiral and the Auxiliary Bishop of the Military Vicariate for the United States.

A Celebration of Life for Pastor Riggs will take place on Friday, January 5, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego located at 4190 Front Street, San Diego, California 92103.
