A Day with Dorothy Day

St. Martin of Tours Social Justice Ministry and the Franciscan Peace Connection invite you to “A Day With Dorothy Day” on Saturday, November 22, at OLPH Church‘s Holy Family Hall in Lakeside.

Facilitators Sharon and David Hoover are nationally known for their ability to challenge, inspire, and ignite their audiences with new ways to approach conflict with nonviolent thinking and responding.  We encourage you to join us as we learn from Dorothy Day how to be effective agents of Gospel values today.

Expect to get better acquainted with Dorothy’s life story and her creation of Catholic Worker; determine for yourself whether Dorothy was “a saint or a troublemaker”; have time for personal reflection on your own life story; share conversion challenges; and learn more about living nonviolently with intention.

Sharon and David Hoover are spiritual directors and until recently, served as the regional coordinators for Pax Christi, So. California and So. California Promoters for Campaign Nonviolence.

Advance registration is $30 per person; lunch is included. Tickets at the door are $35 per person. Make checks payable to Sisters of St. Francis and mail to:
