Benefit for Human Trafficking Survivors

You’re invited to an evening aboard “High Spirits,” generously donated for the evening by Mr. William B. Lynch. High Spirits was built in 1929 as the sister ship to the Presidential Yacht Sequoia and completely restored in 1988 by Mr. Lynch. It is an elegant 112′ motor yacht considered to be the greatest masterpiece of its builder, John Trumpy.

This event kicks off our the Children of the Immaculate Heart’s campaign to raise the $450,000 needed to purchase a home – The Refuge – to care for trafficked minor girls in a residential treatment setting.

Come learn more about the apostolate of Children of the Immaculate Heart by hearing our case manager, Sophie Piconi, speak about the effects of sex trafficking in the life of a survivor. Loren Fardulis, expert in residential treatment and full-time consultant for Children of the Immaculate Heart, will speak about The Refuge and how it will provide a true sanctuary of healing for these girls.

We hope you’ll join us Wednesday, September 28, 5:30-8 PM. All guests are asked to arrive at the Grape St. Pier (1800 N. Harbor Dr., San Diego, 92101) by 5:30 pm, as the ship will leave the dock at 5:45 for a 2 hour cruise with a heavy hors d’oeuvres buffet and open bar. Tickets can be purchased here or by calling (619) 431-5537.
