As Catholics, we are called to participate in public life, placing our values at the center of everything we do in that realm.  Please keep this election in your prayers.

Questions on the November Election can be directed to the Office for Social Ministry: 858-490-8324 or mvalencia@sdcatholic.org.

Ballot Propositions – Yes on 62 and No on 66 – Flyers and other Campaign Materials are now Available

The Catholic Bishops of California are asking the faithful to vote YES on Proposition 62, which will replace California’s death penalty with a sentence of life without parole, and NO on Proposition 66, which purports to streamline the death penalty appeals process and reduce its costs but will in fact do neither. Click for information in English and in Spanish, designed to assist Catholics as they consider voting on Propositions 62 and 66.  Please print and distribute this information.

Anyone who would like campaign materials for “Yes on 62” and “No on 66,” including: lawn signs, free-standing signs, posters, full color handouts, and buttons (for personal, home, or parish use) can pick them up at the Office for Social Ministry at the Diocesan Pastoral Center (3888 Paducah Drive, San Diego, 92117) anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  These materials will be available until Friday, November 4.  Hurry in while supplies last!
