Celebrate Laudato Si!

Join us in a celebration of Laudato Si: hearing the cry of the earth and the poor, and engaging in environmental stewardship!

Join with Bishop Robert McElroy as we:

  • Realize Pope Francis’ vision as expressed in Laudato Si, to hear the cry of the earth and the poor
  • Make connections with passionate stewards of all God’s creation
  • Learn about the effort to establish Creation Care teams in our parishes
  • Realize the financial savings that comes with environmental stewardship
  • Visit with many exhibiting organizations
  • And enjoy great food and refreshments! (Including COMPLIMENTARY tacos and fixings from Casanova Fish Tacos!)

It all takes place Tuesday, Oct. 24, 5-7:45 pm, at the Pastoral Center of the Diocese of San Diego (3888 Paducah Dr., San Diego, 92117).

There is no charge to attend the celebration, but registration is required as seating is limited. Register below to reserve your spot!

For more information, contact Maria Valencia. Click here for a flier including the evening’s schedule, and click here for a flier in Spanish. Please share widely!

We are sorry to inform you that registration for this event, Celebrating Laudato Si, is now closed.  The evening’s presentations will be video recorded and links to those recordings will be made available sometime mid-November on this website.  Check back then or sign up for OSM e-mails (on the homepage at the right) to receive notice that the videos are available.

I will be bringing 8- 10 students with me to help set up and host a booth to give information about the steps Mater Dei HS has already taken in the care for the Earth.
