How to Advocate for Immigrant Families

On September 7, the Administration issued a proposed rule that attempts to alter the Flores Settlement Agreement of 1997 (Flores). Flores contains important protections to ensure the appropriate conditions and care for unaccompanied and accompanied immigrant children in government custody. The proposed rule looks to undermine these important protections and would allow for children to be kept in prolonged detention.
