Reproductive Loss and Grief

Approximately two million couples experience reproductive loss through miscarriage or abortion every year in the US. Studies indicate that many of these couples silently mourn without the social support necessary to make sense of their loss. As a mental health professional you are in a unique position to identify unresolved grief and to facilitate a healthy grieving process.

“Reproductive Loss: Facilitating the Grieving Process” is a course that meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credits for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. It will take place Oct. 6, 2017, 9 am-12:30 PM, at National University – Kearny Mesa (3678 Aero Court, San Diego 92123), and offers three CEUs.

Course Schedule:
Hour 1 Disenfranchised Grief & Reproductive Story
Hour 2 Reproductive Grief and Loss
Hour 3 Therapeutic Strategies & Case Studies
