Rise Up Industries

When joining a gang seems like the only way a person can be loved and belong, when gang violence seems to proliferate beyond control—what can be done about it?

Rise Up Industries is striving to eliminate gang violence and gang membership, assisting those whose lives have been impacted by gang involvement offering hope, kinship, and opportunities that enable individuals to redirect their lives.

We modeled our nonprofit benefit corporation after Homeboy Industries. Founded in Los Angeles by Father Greg Boyle, SJ, Homeboy Industries serves high-risk, formerly gang-involved men and women with a continuum of free services and programs, and operates several social enterprises that serve as job-training sites.

A member of the Homeboy Network, Rise Up Industries helps individuals detach from gang life by offering jobs, education and positive life alternatives.
